Budget Adjustment Planner Printable | Review, Adjust & Realign Your Budget

Life changes, priorities shift, and sometimes your budget needs to change too.

The Elabrille Budget Adjustment Planner Printable is designed to help you review your current budget and make intentional adjustments when your income, expenses, savings goals, or priorities change.

Instead of simply creating a budget once and forgetting about it, use this worksheet to review your current numbers, move money between categories, understand what changed, and realign your budget with your current priorities.

Review. Adjust. Realign.

Start by entering the month and date of review, then use the main Budget Adjustments table to record money being moved from one category to another.

Budget Adjustments

The main adjustment table allows you to record:

  • Category you’re decreasing
  • Current budget
  • Adjustment amount
  • Category you’re increasing
  • Current budget
  • Adjustment amount
  • Reason for adjustment

The worksheet also includes Total Decrease and Total Increase areas, with a reminder that the budget should remain balanced.

What Changed?

Use the reflection section to identify what caused your budget adjustments.

You can record:

  • Income changes
  • Unexpected expenses
  • Change in priorities
  • Other changes

This helps you understand why your budget needed to change instead of simply changing numbers without reviewing the bigger picture.

My New Priorities

Use the numbered priority section to identify the things that matter most right now.

You have space to record up to five new financial priorities.

Budget Summary

After making your adjustments, review:

  • Total Income
  • Total Expenses
  • Total Savings
  • Total Debt Payments
  • Remaining Amount

The worksheet includes a Remaining calculation intended to show whether the adjusted budget is balanced.

Check Your Balance

Use the dedicated balance section to review the relationship between:

Income − (Expenses + Savings + Debt Payments)

The goal is to ensure your adjusted budget is balanced and your remaining amount is accounted for.

Next Review

Budgeting works best when you review it regularly.

Use the Next Review section to record your next budget review date and create a reminder to revisit your numbers.

Notes

Use the notes area for:

  • Financial observations
  • Changes you want to make
  • Upcoming expenses
  • Savings ideas
